For all travelers, hikers, cyclists and hikers.
Maps.me developers took the open source code of the service and launched the open-source project Organic Maps on its basis. It is a mapping application that also runs on OpenStreetMap data and does not require a network connection.
The developers have removed 12 third-party libraries that collect user data and more than 500 thousand lines of unnecessary code. Now there is nothing superfluous in maps, including push notifications and ads, which allows the service to work very quickly and use up the charge more economically. You can use Organic Maps without registration.
The authors of the project call Organic Maps the perfect app for travelers, hikers and cyclists. The maps show a huge number of hiking trails, bike paths, elevation lines, peaks, and so on. The interface supports light and dark modes. Organic Maps is completely free to download and use.
