First of all, you need to make sure that your telephone equipment settings can use alternative ways to access communication services by automatically determining work addresses through DNS SRV.
The telephony server address must be specified with a domain name, not an IP address, and configure the correct domain resolution (decryption into an IP address) in the provider's local network.
The softphones we provide for mobile devices (Android and iOS) and the webRTC softphone built into the Chrome browser extension support SRV records by default. Most modern IP phones support this as well.
If the equipment does not support DNS SRV, in case of problems with the availability of the main channel, you can use alternative solutions for organizing redundancy both inbound and outbound communication:
- quickly switch to work through applications with support for SRV records,
- use the FMC service ("Mobile Employee"),
- duplicate incoming calls to external numbers by regular forwarding.
