Google unveils updated Wear OS

Google I / O showed not only Android 12but also an updated Google Wear OS. It combines the developments of previous versions of Wear OS and Samsung's Tizen platform - the latter is now has officially ceased to exist on its own, so the new Galaxy smartwatch will work on Wear OS. Fitbit will also switch to this system, and a proprietary fitness app will appear on Google Play.

The long-awaited opportunity to use the manufacturer's proprietary interface has been added: thanks to this, Samsung watches will differ from Huawei watches at first glance, despite the same platform. In addition, they promise faster launching of applications, improvements in autonomy, new smooth animations and quick control gestures.

Also, the YouTube Music app for Wear OS will add the ability to store files locally on the watch, and in Google Play there will be dozens of new applications thanks to the new Tiles API, which will simplify the development of programs for this platform. All of these changes will gradually appear in the system later this year.
