- Calvados or chicken broth 50 ml
- Salt to taste
- Ground black pepper to taste
- Minced pork 600 g
- Applesauce 3 tbsp spoons
- Ground nutmeg ½ tsp spoons
- Egg 1 piece
Cooking method
Sift flour and combine with salt. Chop cold butter finely and mix with flour until crumbled.
Knead the dough, gradually adding ice water to it. When the dough comes together in one lump, wrap it with cling film and refrigerate for 40-50 minutes.
Cut the onion into small cubes. Pass the garlic through a press.
Peel and cut the apples into small cubes. Rinse prunes in warm water and chop coarsely.
Heat olive oil in a frying pan, fry the onion over low heat for 5-6 minutes until soft.
Add garlic, apples, prunes, calvados or broth, salt and pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the liquid evaporates. Transfer to a bowl.
Fry the minced meat in a dry skillet until golden brown in 5-6 minutes.
Combine minced meat with vegetables and fruits and cool. Then toss with applesauce and nutmeg.
Preheat oven to 180 ° C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Beat the egg with a fork.
Divide the chilled dough into two parts, one of which is larger than the other. Roll each one between the sheets of parchment into a thin circle.
Place the smaller circle on a baking sheet. Place the filling on top of it, about 2½ cm away from the edge of the dough.
Brush the edges with a beaten egg. Carefully cover the filling with a second layer, join and press firmly on the edges of the dough.
Make a small hole in the center of the cake and cut off any jagged edges. Brush the top with the remaining egg.
Bake the pie in a preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
