Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro renders
Miscellaneous / / May 14, 2021
It looks like Google is returning to experimentation and truly flagship devices.
Notable Leak Finder John Prosser showed in the new video renders of the next flagships from Google - Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. He claims to have received a large number of high-quality smartphone photos from an insider and sent them to artist Ian Zelbo, who created equally high-quality renders based on them.
Already from the names it is obvious that Google has finally decided to get rid of XL in the name of the older version and replaced it with the more familiar Pro in 2021. The models will differ, like most modern flagships, in screen sizes and the number of cameras: two for the younger model and three for the older one.
The author received only images of the devices, so there are no details about cameras or other characteristics of smartphones yet. On the front, new items have a display with thin bezels, curving around the edges, a hole for the front camera in the center and a built-in fingerprint scanner.
If you have been following the latest Google products for the last couple of years, then you probably noticed that the company seemed to abandon the idea of \ u200b \ u200bproducing something. interesting and, in fact, released mid-range smartphones, the main and only advantage of which was "pure" Android and fast updates. What has changed since the company seems to be trying again?
The answer likely lies in an earlier leak, which reported that the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will be the first smartphones to be powered by Google's proprietary processor, codenamed Whitechapel GS101. Then it makes sense: the Pixel 6 series is going to be a facelift of the lineup, and it requires both a new design and top-of-the-line specs.
At a minimum, the Pixel 6 Pro will be available in two colors: with an orange accent a la Pixel 4, as well as a calmer, more stylish champagne version.
Although Prosser is better known for leaks about Apple technology, he previously accurately predicted the release dates of the Pixel 4a and Pixel 5 - and showed live photos of the latter even before the presentation. Of course, any rumor should be taken with a grain of sound skepticism, but chances are that this is what the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will look like.
