Apple is preparing bright MacBook Air in the style of the new iMac

According to well-known insider John Prosser, Apple plans to release the updated MacBook Air in seven colors with white frames and a keyboard.

Judging by the renders used in the video, the novelty will receive a flat, thin body, and the distance between the keyboard keys is greater than in the current model (but this may be a feature of the image). In addition, the top row of function keys has been enlarged to make them the same size as the letter keys. Perhaps a larger keyboard will reduce the size of the touchpad.

Prosser claims that the dimensions and shape of the case are known fairly accurately (and they do not match the existing information about the MacBook Pro), but it does not have information about the display, so the size of the frames may be inaccurate. But they will definitely be white - like the keyboard. There will again be two USB-C ports here, so don't stray your hubs too far.

His source claims to have personally seen the blue and mint laptops (Prosser himself was able to obtain a photo only blue), but there are seven models in production that are either close or identical in shades to the new iMac. The author has also been unable to confirm whether MagSafe charging will be returned to the MacBook Air, so in theory it could sit next to one of the USB-Cs.

The four rubberized legs on the bottom will be replaced with a pair of strips - also white, which may not be the best idea for a device that is planned to be used outside the home.

As for the release dates, the author claims that if the updated MacBook Air goes on sale in 2021, it will only happen at the end of the year.

It is quite logical that Apple will make budget laptops similar to current budget monoblocks, and Prosser's words are convincing by the fact that he reported about multi-colored iMacs two months before the announcement. However, the information is not official, and any such statements should be taken with sound skepticism.
