Sony is preparing a version of the PlayStation 5 with a new design

Sony will launch mass production of the PlayStation 5 with a new design as early as Q2 or Q3 2022. About it informs the well-known Chinese edition of Digitimes with reference to component manufacturers, including the semiconductor supplier TSMC.

It is reported that the novelty will receive a new "semi-custom" 6-nm processor from AMD, the cost of which is lower than that of the 5-nm chip used in the current version of the console. It is not yet clear what we are talking about: a second revision with significant differences, or, more likely, a more budgetary modification - something like the PS5 Slim.
