Twitter Developers announced about starting the Tip Jar function. With its help, users will be able to support those whose content they like. While this feature will be available to some English-speaking users in mobile applications on Android and iOS.
To receive funds, authors will be able to connect their Bandcamp, Cash App, Patreon, PayPal and Venmo accounts. The social network itself does not require any commission for transfers. The button for sending a donation will be displayed in the profile next to the message sending icon.
The Tip Jar is currently open to a number of authors, journalists, experts and non-profit organizations. Soon, more people will be able to add this feature to themselves to make it easier for readers to send money. Now this, as a rule, is done manually through the details published by the author.
