Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra could be the first smartphone with a 200 megapixel camera

This year Samsung is going to release a 200 Mp photomodule for smartphones. Its first owner may be the flagship Galaxy S22 Ultra, which will be announced in early 2022. About this with a link to the Chinese website IT Home writes PhoneArena.

Samsung's March teaser partly confirms this information. Then the manufacturer published a short video mentioning 6 cameras, two of which are in front, and a resolution of 200 megapixels. This is probably an allusion to the development of the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

According to preliminary data, such a sensor should have pixels of 0.64 microns. The camera will be developed in partnership with the Japanese company Olympus, which Samsung recently partnered with.

Also, sources do not exclude that the first smartphone with a new Samsung photomodule may be a still unknown novelty from Xiaomi. So it was with the 108 megapixel sensor, which first appeared in

Mi Note 10, and then already in Galaxy S20 Ultra.
