Two models with different sizes but the same price.
Garmin presented the updated Venu smartwatch series, which includes two models with round displays. Both are positioned as premium solutions that can compete with the Apple Watch.
The series includes the base Garmin Venu 2 with a 1.3-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 416 × 416 pixels, a 45 mm body and straps 22 mm, as well as smaller Venu 2S with 1.1-inch display 360 × 360 pixels, 40 mm case and 18 straps mm. Both models are protected from water (5 ATM) and tempered glass Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Also Venu 2 and Venu 2S are equipped with modules for GPS / GLONASS navigation, SpO2 sensor, barometric altimeter, compass, gyroscope, accelerometer, thermometer and light sensor. The watch can track heart rate, blood oxygen levels, breathing rate, sleep quality, water balance and stress.
Of course, many sports modes are supported, including strength training and various types of cardio. In the smartphone app, you can set up your own physical activity assessment modes. Also Venu 2 and Venu 2S can offer onboard memory for listening to music in offline mode and a contactless payment function via Garmin Pay service.
In normal mode, the Venu 2 will last up to 11 days without recharging, and if you activate the GPS and turn on the music, then up to 8 hours. Venu 2S has 10 days and 7 hours, respectively. 10 minutes of make-up will provide a day of autonomous operation (without navigation).
The price tag for both versions is the same - 399 dollars (≈30,000 rubles), which emphasizes the absence of differences between them, not counting the size.
