Analogue of Galaxy SmartTag + for Apple ecosystem.
As part of the new spring presentation, Apple has officially unveiled the AirTag beacons. It is a miniature and lightweight device that can be attached to important things. The circular markers feature the Apple logo on the back and are slightly larger than the bottle cap.
The U1 chip is responsible for support for ultra-wideband communication, which Apple already uses in the iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 and, according to leak searchers, plans embed in almost all of their new gadgets - not only to integrate AirTag into the ecosystem, but also to improve the accuracy of Find iPhone and AirDrop. The location of valuables with attached AirTags can be tracked through the "Locator" in the "Things" section - a corresponding function recently became available for all users.
AirTag can be personalized with engraving - it can be a test or an emoji. Similar engravings can be added to iPhones, iPads and AirPods when purchased through the Apple Official Store. Along with the beacons, a number of accessories will be launched on sale - these are silicone and leather straps, with the help of which the beacons can be easily attached to anything from keys to a backpack.
In the US, the gadget will cost $ 29, and a set of four was priced at $ 99. The novelty will go on sale on April 30, pre-orders will open this Friday.
