Lean apple pie

Bake a lean apple pie for yourself and your loved ones. Soft pastries with a subtle vanilla aroma and beautiful pieces of fruit will perfectly complement a cup of tea.

Ingredients
- Sunflower oil 1 tsp the spoon
- Coconut oil ¹⁄₂ cup + for lubrication
- Sugar ¹⁄₂ glass
- Applesauce without sugar ¾ cup
- Vanilla extract 2 tsp spoons
- Vegetable milk 2 tbsp. spoons
- Apple cider vinegar 1 tsp the spoon
- Flour 1¹⁄₂ cup
- Baking powder 2 tsp spoons
- Soda 1 tsp the spoon
- Salt 1 pinch
- Apples 3-5 pieces
- Apricot or other jam 1-2 tbsp. spoons
Cooking method
Preheat oven to 180 ° C. Lubricate a mold with a diameter of 23-25 cm with sunflower oil.

Beat the softened coconut oil and sugar with a mixer. Add mashed potatoes, vanilla, vegetable milk and vinegar and beat again. If there are lumps in the mass, that's okay.
The recipe requires a glass with a volume of 240-250 ml.
Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. In two passes, introduce the flour mass into the liquid, stirring with a mixer until smooth.
Pour the dough into a mold and flatten.
Peel the apples. Cut in half or quarters. Remove cores.
On each piece of fruit, make several cuts on the side where the skin was. Do not cut all the way through.
Place the apples on top of the dough, cut up.

Bake the cake for about 1 hour and 10 minutes. After 45 minutes, you can cover it with foil to keep the edges from browning too much.
Check readiness with a toothpick: it should come out of the dough clean.
Heat the apricot jam slightly in the microwave to make it runny. Spread it over the top of a hot pie for a delicious shine.
