Chrome browser got renewalwhich brought a number of useful features. All of them, according to the developers, can increase your productivity. Here is the main thing from the latest update.
Link to selected text
This really useful option allows you to share links anchored to specific text on the page. To do this, you just need to select a piece of text or a word and select a new send item (Copy link to highlight) in the context menu. Whoever follows your link will open the page and immediately see what you have highlighted.
New features for PDF
When opening PDF pages, users now have a new sidebar for file navigation, document properties, two-page preview, and updated top toolbar, which allows access to the main actions of files (zoom, go to page, save, print and much more).
We've also added a new presentation mode that removes the toolbars, address bar, tabs, and other distractions so you can focus on your document.
Turn off notifications automatically
Now, when you stream Chrome pages, the browser automatically turns off all notifications so that nothing distracts you. When you're done, alerts will turn on automatically.
Productivity increase
Chrome performance improvements have helped reduce CPU utilization and improve laptop battery life, as well as lower heat and cooler noise. So, laptops with macOS, Windows, Chrome OS and Linux will now be able to work in browsing mode for 1.25 hours longer.
Soon, the developers promise to start freezing tabs for minimized groups. This means that when groups of pages are not in use, the tabs inside will consume less memory and processor resources, which will noticeably affect the speed of your device.
Chrome window names
When working with a large number of tabs, many users divide them not only into groups, but also into different windows. Now, if you have multiple Chrome windows open, you can name each one to make it easier to work with more open pages.
We remind you that the update is being rolled out in stages. If it is not yet available to you, you should just wait.
