Like a miniature plastic card, but without any owner details.
The manufacturer of contactless payment devices ISBC, Mastercard and the developer of tokenization services Fidesmo have launched an NFC key fob with a contactless payment function in Russia. It was named ISBC Pay.
Any Mastercard of the bank participating in the project can be linked to the key fob. At the moment there are eight of them: Gazprombank, Post Bank, MKB, Rosselkhozbank, Otkritie Bank, Alfa-Bank, Tatsotsbank and Promsvyazbank (PSB).
ISBC Pay is used in exactly the same way as a regular plastic card - you just need to bring the device to the terminal. At the same time, the key fob will not have any personal data of the owner, and if desired, ISBC Pay can be branded by applying any image.
This keychain is durable - it can easily withstand bends, compression, extreme temperatures and moisture. If necessary, the card stored in the key fob can be easily replaced.
“You can forget your bank card at home, your phone can run out of power - in such cases, a key fob with a payment function will come in handy. You can release several of these key rings and give them to children; if they lose it, nothing bad will happen - there are no payment details on the key fob, it can be blocked without blocking the card itself. "
ISBC Managing Director Nikita Kozhemyakin for RBC
The key fob will cost 1,490 rubles. In the future, it will be possible to bind the card also to straps for mechanical watches and other items, added Kozhemyakin.
