Cauliflower in sweet and sour sauce

Crispy cauliflower in a vibrant Asian sweet and sour sauce tastes like chicken and goes well with boiled rice.

Ingredients
- Vegetable oil 4 tbsp. spoons
- Cauliflower 600 g
- Cornstarch 6 tbsp spoons
- Sugar 150 g
- Apple cider vinegar 120 ml
- Soy sauce 2 tbsp spoons
- Ground dried garlic 1 tsp a spoon
- Salt to taste
- Ketchup 60 g
- Water 2 tbsp. spoons
- Sesame 1 tbsp a spoon
- Onions ½ pieces
Cooking method
Preheat oven to 220 ° C. Grease a baking sheet with 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.
Disassemble the cauliflower into inflorescences, sprinkle with the remaining oil and stir.
Sprinkle the cabbage with 5 tablespoons of starch and mix well.
Place the cabbage on a baking sheet and cook in a preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Stir the cabbage once during this time.
In a saucepan, combine sugar, vinegar, soy sauce, ground garlic, salt and ketchup. Put the sauce on low heat, bring to a boil.
In a small bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of starch and 2 tablespoons of water.
Pour the starch mixture into the sauce, stir and cook until thickened for 3-4 minutes.
Combine the cabbage with the sauce. Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped onions on top, if desired.
