Windows Latest Edition published the concept of the Windows 10 Sun Valley update, which will come out in October 2021. It is expected that the taskbar and start menu will have a new "floating" interface with rounded corners. The image below is created based on the leaks, teaser from Microsoft and insider posts.
As with Windows 10X, the app menu will be visually separated from the taskbar. The authors point out that there is almost certainly no way to disable this separation or change the degree of roundness of the corners.
The interface is expected to be finalized by June this year and will be available to beta testers shortly thereafter. It is worth noting that the image above is not a screenshot, but a concept created based on the descriptions of the changes being tested in the company and the current WinUI 3 interface. The final version will obviously be finalized and may differ from the concept.
Along with the taskbar and the Start menu, standard applications should also receive an updated design, including Alarm and Clock, Mail and Calendar.
