There is a stereotype that men don't like compliments because it prevents them from being harsh. Of course it is not. A compliment is important and pleasant for any person - be it a woman or a man.
It doesn't matter what you celebrate - strong hands, the ability to fix a faucet, a sense of humor or a chic beard. In any compliment, it is not the content that is fundamentally, but how you do it. A good compliment does not devalue a person, as, for example, the phrase "For a man, you are so good at fashion!" It's also best to avoid comparisons.
The problem with standard compliments is that they often cause embarrassment to the recipient. The girl says to the guy: "You have a cool motorcycle!" There is usually an awkward pause after this because the guy doesn't know what to answer.
And we humans don't like awkwardness, so the main rule of a good compliment is not to create it. Let's go back to the motorcycle. The girl compliments: "You have a cool motorcycle." After that, it is worth asking a question, for example: "What is this brand?" The guy will begin to respond, and the compliment itself, so to speak, will slip inside his head and be deposited on the subcortex.
It is easy enough to learn how to ask such questions - with a little practice, and you will become a master of this business.
