Podcasts / / January 07, 2021
Bargaining is a kind of sport. This is the opinion of Pasha Fedorov's guest from the fourth episode "Wasted" and the author of the course on negotiations, Ilya Sinelnikov. The topic of discussion is especially relevant during a crisis (economic and epidemiological), when most of us have difficulties with money. In the podcast, Pasha and Ilya will discuss how not to offend the seller and take care of their own benefits.
1:12 - Pasha and Ilya recall the biggest discounts that they managed to get in life, and also discuss how to correctly form the price of the goods, initially laying the fork for bargaining.
8:08 - Ilya explains what “feeling of need” is and how it makes us agree to bad deals.
15:22 - Ilya claims that any reason for a discount - even the stupidest one - is better than no reason at all.
19:12 - Pasha shares a life hack on how to save money when buying a phone. Ilya recommends asking the seller open-ended questions.
23:42 - bad advice: what not to do when trying to get a discount? Ilya recommends that you always leave the seller the right to "no", and also remember that for many people bargaining is a stressful situation.
30:43 - an incredible story about a printer cartridge for 250 rubles and the remorse that Pasha suffered from.
32:40 - Pasha and Ilya are trying to find an area in which you should not ask for a discount. They come to the conclusion that it simply does not exist.
36:04 - Ilya advises to treat bargaining as a game or experiment. After all, even Elon Musk and Bill Gates are traded, according to the guest of the issue.
39:22 - Pasha recently bought several microSD-flash drives for a microphone and a game console and now advises not to save on memory cards. And Ilya talks about microphone С01U Pro from Samson, which he specifically purchased to record this podcast.
