But thanks to him, you can count on more favorable conditions from the bank or protect yourself from debts in case of death or illness. Insurance can be renewed annually or issued for the entire duration of the loan. And if you repay the loan ahead of schedule, then you overpay for policy.

Concessional loans for education will become more affordable
At the end of August, a government decree was issued that changedResolution of the Government of the Russian Federation of August 19, 2020 No. 1256 conditions for issuing concessional loans for education. Their meaning is as follows: while studying, the student pays the bank only interest, and in the first two years not in full. He pays off the main debt after receiving a diploma and starting work. The loan itself is issued at a low interest rate. The amount that the bank does not receive because of this is compensated by the state.
The system of concessional lending existed before, but in 2020 the conditions became more favorable:
- The interest on the loan will be 3%, not 9%, as it was before.
- The debt can be repaid within 15 years after graduation, not 10.
- The post-release period that the debtor is given for job search, is nine months instead of three.
The order also applies to loans that were received earlier. They are not issued everywhere, but only in banks that have agreed to participate in the program with the state.
