Google Developers announced about the global redesign of Google Photos. The service is now more focused on your memories to help you find and relive your most precious moments again.
The service has changed its logo, but the main changes are expected in the mobile application. At the heart of its interface are now three key tabs:
Photo
This is the main tab that contains all of your photos and videos. Now there are large thumbnails of images, auto-play recordings and fewer gaps between photos.
At the very top, you will also notice a large carousel "Memories". There are collected photos of you and your loved ones, with friends and family over the past years, shots from trips and other bright moments of the last time. Movies, collages, animations and stylized photos are now displayed here.
Search
The search box is now a central tab for quick access to the people, places and things that matter most to you.
In addition, in the search section, you can find an interactive map with photos and places where they were taken. You can zoom in or out, view travel photos and, if necessary, disable or enable location history in the settings.
Library
This tab gives you access to Albums, Favorites, Trash, Archive and other important sections.
The new Google Photos interface will be available to all Android and iOS users next week.
