Project Sandcastle developers managed to port Android 10 to Apple smartphones using the checkra1n jailbreak exploit. Not everything works, but the system itself looks quite viable. A video demonstrating the installation, interface and some functions was published by Forbes journalists.
So far, the project is only at the stage of beta testing, and the assembly of the system is working only on the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, however, the developers plan to further develop the project by making a full-fledged working platform. In their opinion, Android can be a great alternative for iPhone lovers, especially given that the fact that the system is installed in a separate section of memory without erasing the original factory files iOS.
The camera, cellular module and Bluetooth chip do not work in the current assembly of the system, but those who wish can still try to install it on the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. Instructions and files required for firmware are available at website developers. All manipulations, of course, are performed solely at your own peril and risk.
