Xiaomi has expanded the portfolio of Mijia smart home elements with a small safe, which is suitable for storing documents and valuables. Even a laptop with a diagonal of up to 12 inches will fit.
Mijia Smart Safe is made of multiple layers of 65Mn carbon steel, with drill protection. The safe offers 6 unlocking methods: fingerprint, passcode, key, Bluetooth (via app), two-factor authentication and one-time password.
The device connects to a smartphone via Bluetooth. Through the application, you can not only unlock the safe, but also receive notifications when the battery level is running out. The safe is also equipped with a shake sensor: if it detects that they are trying to open it, it will start recording on the built-in camera, and a notification will be sent to the smartphone. It operates on four AA batteries: autonomy is 1 year. Alternatively, you can plug the safe into a power outlet directly via USB-C.
The novelty was estimated at a modest 599 yuan, or about 6,660 rubles. Pre-orders in China will open on September 9 and will go on sale on October 5.
