Huawei has announced two new smartwatches under the Honor sub-brand. This is the first watch brand Watch GS Pro and simpler Watch ES, which are positioned as "a fitness trainer on your wrist." Here's what you need to know about these devices.
Honor Watch GS Pro
The rugged smartwatch received a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 454 x 454 pixels. The bezel is made of stainless steel, the case itself is made of polycarbonate, the strap is silicone. This device has received MIL-STD-810G military certification of 14 protection against water, temperature extremes and drops.
The watch connects to a smartphone via Bluetooth 5.1. They are aimed at hiking, skiing and swimming enthusiasts. There are special features like tide and bad weather notifications, ski and snowboard tracking, and offline navigation.
There are over 100 workout modes available in total, including active heart rate swimming. There is also a blood oxygen sensor and sleep tracking function. Autonomy in energy-saving mode will be 25 days, with active use of GPS, you can count on 48 hours.
The Honor Watch GS Pro will be available in black, white and camouflage blue for 250 euros. Pre-orders in Europe will open on September 7, and early buyers can save 50 euros.
Honor Watch ES
This is the European version of the recently announced Huawei watch fit. This is a more traditional smartwatch focused on fitness functions. They got an elongated 1.64-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 456 x 280 pixels. There is an AlwaysOn mode and the ability to manually adjust the dial and the location of the widgets.
The device supports 11 professional sports (running, swimming, cycling) and 85 special modes - from yoga to intense interval training. There is a built-in GPS sensor (does not work without connecting to a smartphone) and moisture protection up to 50 meters. The watch will monitor the blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) and stress levels, suggesting breathing exercises if necessary. Autonomy reaches 10 days. The battery charges up to 70% in just 30 minutes.
The novelty was estimated at 100 euros (≈8 900 rubles). Pre-orders in Europe will open on September 7, with early buyers getting the Honor Sport Bluetooth Earphones for free or a € 20 discount. If the original Huawei Watch Fit was presented in black, pink and green, then in Europe it will be white instead of green.
