Indiegogo crowdfunding is raising funds for one of the most unusual Apple Watch straps. It is called the Mudra Band and allows you to control your smartwatch with finger movements. This allows, for example, to switch the song when both of your hands are busy.
According to the developers, the bracelet catches neural signals that the brain sends to the fingers to move them. Unique sensors combined with AI decode the signal and “understand” which finger is moving. And certain finger movements are already associated with controlling various functions of the watch.
The sensors not only sense exactly which finger is making which movement, but also detect when the movements are not related to the control of the watch to prevent false alarms. The device runs on its own 40 mAh battery, which is enough for 2 days of battery life. A full charge will take about an hour.
Mudra Band was estimated at $ 249 (≈18,730 rubles), but at the stage of crowdfunding at Indiegogo it costs only $ 179 (≈13,470 rubles). Pre-orders are scheduled to ship in December this year.
