Huami introduced a new series of smart watches Zepp E

Huami, which produces gadgets under the Amazfit brand and Xiaomi Mi Band bracelets, presented new series of smart watches Zepp E. It includes two models: Zepp E Circle with a round display and Zepp E Square with a square display.

Formally, Zepp is an independent Californian brand that until recently was engaged in the development of multisport sensor technologies. In 2018 the company bought Huami, after which the Zepp brand was repurposed to launch smartwatches in the North American market. In fact, this is a local rebranding of Amazfit with renaming of the mobile app and all related products. Zepp E watch is the debut model available in two versions, which differ only in screens.

The Zepp E Circle has a 1.28-inch screen with a resolution of 416 × 416 pixels, while the Zepp E Square has a diagonal of 1.65 inches with a resolution of 348 × 442 pixels. In both cases, an AMOLED matrix with support for Always-on display is used.

The watch received thin metal cases (9 and 9.1 mm) with protection against dust and moisture (5ATM). The manufacturer places particular emphasis on a streamlined design with a seamless transition between glass and metal.

Zepp E has received a heart rate sensor and all basic modules for tracking physical activity. There are many dial settings, 11 sport modes, sleep tracking and blood oxygen detection, and stress assessment.

In the standard mode of use, the autonomy of the devices is 7 days, and in the "time only" mode, you can count on 15 days. The watch strap can be made of leather or fluoroelastomer, but there are also metal bracelets.

Smart watches Zepp E Circle and Zepp E Square have already gone on sale in the USA and some European countries at a price of $ 250 (≈18 600 rubles). In the Russian and Asian markets, the Amazfit brand will probably be retained, under which the new products from Huami will be released.
