At the same time, Microsoft Teams will stop working with IE 11 even earlier: November 30, 2020. This means that after the specified dates, users may have problems connecting to the server and running the listed applications in an outdated browser.
Technically, IE 11 will remain on Windows 10, and third-party apps and sites will continue to work. However, in a blog post, the company encourages developers to use App Assure, a free optimization campaign. Internet Explorer and Google Chrome apps for Microsoft Edge - hinting at an impending discontinuation support.
In addition, from March 9, 2021, it will stop receiving security updates for Microsoft Edge Legacy (pre-Chromium version).
