This week Google is finally announced an affordable Pixel 4a - and it seems like a great deal for $ 350. But how much slower does it feel compared to the regular Pixel 4? For this, both devices were passed through Speed Test G - a special benchmark that uses algorithms that simulate everyday smartphone use and test the capabilities of both the processor and and graphics.
As a reminder, the Pixel 4a has a modern mid-range Snapdragon 730G processor, while the Pixel 4 has last year's but still flagship Snapdragon 855. So it is not surprising that the novelty did not stand a chance when compared with its older brother. But it is worth remembering that the standard "four" costs 800 dollars - with this money you can buy two Pixel 4a and a budget Xiaomi for delivery.
The Pixel 4a completed all tests in 2 minutes and 38 seconds - while the Pixel 4 took only 1:51 for the same tasks. When playing 3D graphics, it is especially noticeable how much the Pixel 4a graphics card suffers - so this is not the best choice for fans of heavy games.
