ASUS unveils ROG Phone 3 with 16GB of RAM

This flagship has more memory than your laptop. It also has a vapor chamber for cooling and two USB-C ports.

Followed by Lenovo ASUS released its new gaming flagship with the ROG Phone 3. It received an AMOLED screen with a diagonal of 6.59 inches, a resolution of 2340 × 1080 pixels, an image refresh rate of 144 Hz, a response time of 1 ms, a color depth of 10 bits and support for HDR10 +.

Inside this beast is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ processor with 5G support. The amount of RAM can be up to 16 GB, and internal memory - 512 GB. Responsible for cooling is the new GameCool 3 system with a special evaporation chamber, a graphite plate for heat dissipation and an improved heat sink.

On the ends of the case there are traditional AirTrigger 3 touch buttons. These controls now support touch and swipe, allowing each sensor to emulate multiple buttons in games at once. An updated audio system with two front speakers is responsible for the sound. The manufacturer promises richer bass and detailed stereo sound in the horizontal orientation of the device.

Autonomous operation is provided by a 6,000 mAh battery, which is powered by a side USB-C connector (the second is also on the bottom end). Supports 30W charging. The main camera is equipped with a 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor, which is complemented by an ultra wide-angle 13MP module with a 125 ° field of view and a 5MP module for macro photography. Selfie camera - 24 megapixels. In terms of communications, announced: Wi-Fi 6 (802.11a / b / g / n / ac / ax, 2x2 MIMO), Bluetooth 5.1 and NFC.

ASUS ROG Phone 3 will go on sale at the end of August at a price of 799 euros (≈65,000 rubles) for the 8/256 GB version. The ROG Phone 3 Strix Edition with SoC Snapdragon 865 chip and less memory will cost a little less.
