How to Completely Delete Spotify Account with All Data

Spotify has just launched in Russia, but you might already want to delete your account. For example, if you do not like the service and do not want to continue using it, or you need to close one account in order to create another.

If you have a free version

For Spotify Free accounts, it's pretty simple. For this:

1. Open up support page Spotify.
2. Select "Account" → "I want to delete my account".
3. Fill out a short form: just enter your name and write that you want to delete your account.
4. You will receive two letters by mail: the first that your request was accepted for work with the ticket number, and the second - from a technical support employee. Follow the instructions provided to complete the complete deletion of your account.

If you have a Premium subscription

Get rid of your subscription before deleting your account. For this:

1. On the web version of Spotify, click on "Profile" → "Account".
2. In the menu on the left, select "Available plans" and scroll down to the bottom - there will be a button "Cancel Premium". Click on it and confirm your choice.

Done, you've canceled your subscription - and you've got a sad farewell playlist. Until the end of your paid period or free trial, you will still have access to all Spotify Premium features.
