The POCO brand, which is formally became independent, has released its new smartphone called M2 Pro. Unlike the previous model, the flagship POCO F2 Pro, the novelty is positioned as a top midrange.
From the design of the device, we can conclude that POCO became independent only on paper, since the M2 Pro looks like a copy Redmi Note 9 Pro. There are differences in characteristics, but they can hardly be called significant.
The POCO M2 Pro has a 6.67-inch display with a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The same coating protects the photo module and the entire rear panel of the case. At the top of the screen in the center there is a hole for a 16 megapixel selfie camera.
The main camera includes the following modules: the main one at 48 megapixels (versus 64 megapixels in the Redmi Note 9 Pro), a wide-angle one at 8 megapixels (119 °), a macro at 5 megapixels and a depth-of-field metering sensor at 2 megapixels. Supports 4K recording at 30 frames per second and Pro-mode with manual settings.
The battery is 5,000 mAh with 33W fast charging via USB-C (versus 5,020 mAh and 30W for the Redmi Note 9 Pro). 50% charge is replenished in 30 minutes. There is support for 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 GHz + 5 GHz) 2 x 2 MIMO, VoWiFi, Bluetooth 5, GPS and NavIC (Indian navigation system). NFC is not declared.
The body of the smartphone has a P2i coating that protects against drops. There is a fingerprint scanner on the side. There is also a 3.5 mm jack, an IR transmitter for controlling household appliances and an advanced vibration motor Z-Shocker. The device is powered by Android 10. The start of sales is scheduled for July 14. The prices are as follows:

- POCO M2 Pro (6 + 64 GB): 14,999 rupees (≈14,400 rubles);
