WHO has tightened guidelines for wearing masks

WHO Chief Tedros Ghebreyesus at New COVID-19 Briefing announced new guidelines for the prevention of coronavirus. Here are the main points:

• Doctors and other healthcare workers should wear masks at all times - whether they are working with people with coronavirus infection or not.
• People over 60 years old, as well as those with chronic diseases, are advised to wear masks wherever it is impossible to maintain physical distance.
• Governments should encourage the wearing of masks wherever it is impossible to maintain physical distance, especially in public transport and shops.
• Those who develop symptoms similar to coronavirus infection should stay at home. Everyone who contacted him should be quarantined.
• If a sick person or someone who has been in contact with him needs to leave the house, he must wear a mask.
• The WHO considers quality masks, which consist of three layers of different materials and more.

Previously, WHO only talked about the need to wear masks when sick, because there was insufficient data (apart from clinical studies, which many experts

consider little applicable to real life).
