There are many messages about the background image that "breaks" Android smartphones. At first glance, this is a completely ordinary picture that, when installed on the desktop, displays the gadget is out of order - the screen starts to turn on and off constantly, and it does not even help reboot. This is how it goes.
The picture was shared by the authoritative insider Ice Universe, who warned users against using it as desktop wallpaper. This is especially true for Samsung device owners, although the problem occurs on models from other manufacturers, including Nokia, Xiaomi and OnePlus.

Specialists of the 9to5Google portal conducted several tests with this image and came to the conclusion that the image does not contain a virus - it's all about its color scheme. By default, the Android operating system is set to display sRGB colors, but the picture uses RGB gamut. And while Android 11 automatically converts an unsupported color space, Android 10 doesn't. That is why on devices with a fresh OS, the picture is installed on the background without problems. It turns out that any other images in RGB gamut can "break" a smartphone.
You can render the picture harmless by any editing - just make some changes and resave it. If you have already set the RGB image to the background and are faced with the problem of erratic screen turning on, then you need to delete the picture file by booting in safe mode, or reset the device to factory settings.
