Tips / / December 19, 2019
Today our guest is a well-known public figures, businessmen, tour guide, a man who knows everything about the city and even more. Arseniy Finberg, Project Coordinator "Interesting Kiev". He tells us how to organize their workspace, in order to successfully run the business, continue to explore favorite city and spend time with loved ones.
What do you do in your work?
When I finished "Mogilyanki" I thought that I wanted to deal with the logistics. However, under the logistics, I understand the organizational logistics, ie organizing and coordinating the joint work of people (probably more correct it would be to call management).
It turned out that in the "adult world" This term refers to something quite different, because 2 years after graduation I moved containers and cargo around the world, then another 2 years analyzed Ukrainian logistics companies delivering goods to stores Underground.
My logistics career ended in «P & G», where I tried to predict the sales of razors "Vest" and technology "Brown" in Ukraine and a half years ahead. As a result, I realized that it's still not mine, went to his business, which has grown from a hobby - hobby hometown.
First, create a community in LJ, then I began spodvigaet people from the community to walk around the city. When such a walk-tour was coming for 50 people, opened a full tour desk. And those living the last 6 years.
In fact, on my overall coordination of the agency in which three people working in the office on a daily basis, they will organize up to 200 trips per month with the best guides in Kiev in all languages of the world.
In addition, I am negotiating with strategic partners, PR (largely personal and company), the development of new excursions and "listening" for new guides. Accordingly, a lot of time it takes correspondence with customers, sots.seti (Facebook and Twitter mainly).
Also entirely on my preparation and conduct of corporate quests that too often take a lot of time and "Mara" a lot of paper.
How does your workplace?
At my workplace a creative mess. A lot of time I spend in meetings or on the road, because it is more logical to say about the three jobs:
1. Desk in the office. I have been there for several hours a day. All minimalistic desktop. Laptop used to go everywhere with me, because was taken lightweight model with a big battery - Acer Aspire 3810T, but it is now understood that the bulk of the problems can be solved by smartphone Android (currently Samsung Galaxy SII, it is already 5 phone on android). As a geek, I use the phone a hundred, deciding on it almost all the work tasks (except for writing longer texts ;-)).
Next - placers cards. This atavism tends to take place all around the company, and what to do with them has yet not decided. By the way, I am looking for intelligent startup for contacts. Until I found this option, and the contacts I have a lot, not counting the thousands of friends in social networks. Who would have coped with the crowds scanning business cards ...
Well, a gift from colleagues - the ball for the most faithful of decision-making. ;-)
So corny wall hung with all sorts of letters, most of the part in various charity projects, well, a bit of our prizes and awards.
2. Desk "on wheels". I spend a lot of time behind the wheel, because the most comfortable workplace in the car. Branded automotive taped for phone charging (android) plus a Bluetooth headset from the "gills".
Also, since the conventional battery for a day now, I do not have enough in your pocket is always a charged spare battery for your smartphone.
Well, the "command center" of the car he's "Balalaika" - Chinese 2 DIN player, he's a radio, it is also GPS-based WIN Ce (yes, there is the "Navitel" and "Aygo" and even Garmin). However, herovenky screen.
3. Meeting place. A lot of time I spend for meetings with friends, colleagues, partners. This occurs most often in one of the best cafes in Kiev - "Theater Coffee".
Firstly, it is 5 minutes from the office, and secondly - there is the best coffee in town. Well, the atmosphere is relevant, I sat down for a coffee in Lviv, and then teach that coffee need an appropriate entourage. If I am in the center, I prefer a "Cafu" or "Chasopis".
What hardware are using?
As already said, the main bunch - Acer Timeline computer and phone SGS2.
Home use 3 more devices to Android - eReader B & N with Glowlight (read mostly in bed at night, What light is very helpful), the tablet Galaxy Tab 7 inches (most commonly used for travel or for play daughter). Finally, Google Tv (Logitech Revue), which is used to temporarily neutralize the daughter (if necessary homework) and view series.
What software use?
On the laptop stands seventh Windows: select special laptop is already preloaded with Windows. Summary work program - the browser (Chrome Forever!).
The trend of recent years - all in the browser, all in the cloud. Actively use Google apsy: all excursions schedules in Google calendar (one public, the other closed), working documents in Google Doxa.
To share files between devices actively using dropbox. For communication - Google talk, Facebook, Skype. Well, all mail from us, of course, in gmail. Mail read all the time at the computer - is on it, all the rest of the phone.
And yeah, I admit - is sinful, home media server should torrents rocking, which is set to an external access from any location.
About the software on your phone, you can write a lot and for a long time - in some moments it is set up to 300 programs. Screenshot of the desktop on a computer attached, the picture changes every hour program Bing Walpaper Downloader - sometimes shows a very beautiful views.
Is there a place in your paper work?
Unfortunately, there is. The first small - I would like to digitize them, but does not come out. Plus a small note, who do not have time to bring in the mail / calendar. Otherwise, the print is not often.
Is there a dream configuration?
There is no limit to perfection!
I'm thinking now about the two purchases: a new phone from Motorola / Google - Razr MAXX HD (with battery at 3200 mA), which should be enough for 2 days; and the last Chromebook for $ 250 - in fact actually 95% of problems are now resolved through a browser.
Perhaps another option "my" ideal setup - something like the last ASUS Padphone 2 with two docking stations (one in the office, another at home). But it is necessary to experiment how it suits me, plus highlight daughter a separate device.
