As part of the online presentation, Huawei has unveiled three new flagships: Honor 30, Honor 30 Pro and Honor 30 Pro +. All of them received support for 5G networks, but there are many differences in characteristics.
Honor 30
The most affordable of the new products, which received a 6.53-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels, HDR10 support, a refresh rate of 60 Hz and an integrated fingerprint scanner. There is also a 32 megapixel selfie camera in the display hole.
Inside there is a Kirin 985 8-core processor with a Mali-G77 accelerator. The amount of RAM was 6 or 8 GB, and the built-in memory can be installed 128 or 256 GB (UFS 2.1). There is support for expansion cards Nano Memory. Autonomous work is provided by a 4000 mAh battery with support for 40 W fast charging.
The main camera includes 4 modules:
- main 40 megapixel;
- wide-angle 8 megapixel;
- 8MP periscope for 5x optical and 10x hybrid zoom;
- 2 megapixel macro sensor.
Honor 30 Pro
This smartphone received a slightly curved OLED screen with a diagonal of 6.57 inches, a resolution of 2340 × 1080 pixels, HDR10 support and a frequency of already 90 Hz. The camera in the hole is double, with sensors of 32 and 8 megapixels.
The processor of the Pro version is slightly more powerful - this is the 8-core Kirin 990. It is complemented by 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of internal storage (UFS 3.0). The capacity of the battery is the same - 4000 mAh, there is a powerful 40 W charger.
The main camera is triple:
- main module 40 Mp;
- wide-angle 16 MP;
- 8MP periscope for 5x optical and 10x hybrid zoom;
Honor 30 Pro +
This model has the same display and processor as the regular Pro version, but it can have up to 12 GB of RAM. There is also 27W fast wireless charging.
As for the cameras, the main difference is in the main photomodule - in Honor 30 Pro + it is a 50-megapixel Sony IMX700 sensor, like in the company's top flagship Huawei P40 Pro. In addition, the Honor 30 Pro + supports 4K 60fps, 1920fps 720p and 960fps 1080p recording. DxOMark Experts awarded camera is the second in the overall ranking.
Both Pro versions received a liquid cooling system, stereo speakers and IP54 water and dust protection.
All three new items run on Android 10 with Magic UI 3.1.1, which, of course, lacks Google services. The prices for the models are as follows:
- Honor 30: from 2,999 yuan (≈31,200 rubles);
- Honor 30 Pro: from 3,999 yuan (≈41,600 rubles);
- Honor 30 Pro +: from 4,999 yuan (≈52,000 rubles).
