Moscow City Hall starts issuing digital passes

From April 15, 2020, citizens must have a special pass with them to travel around Moscow and the Moscow Region by personal, official or public transport. Residents of the Moscow region can issue it via app, and residents of the capital need to use City Hall website.

To move around the city on foot, a digital pass is not required.

On the site you need to log in and select "Get a digital pass" in the section of municipal services. You will need to indicate the purpose of your trip, name and passport information, phone number and e-mail address, as well as the type of transport you plan to travel on.

The digital pass must be kept in any possible way and carried along with an identity document. A pass obtained on the territory of Moscow is also valid on the territory of the Moscow Region.
