IPhone 12 Pro will be released in September, and Pro Max will be delayed

Analyst Jeff Poo shared the latest data on the development schedule for new Apple smartphones. According to him, due to the world quarantine, the manufacturer will extend one of the testing stages until the end of April. 5.4-inch iPhone 12 and two 6.1-inch models (probably called the iPhone 12 Plus and iPhone 12 Pro).

The largest and most expensive smartphone, the potential iPhone 12 Pro Max with a 6.7-inch display, will be tested until May, which will significantly shift the date of its launch. According to the analyst, if the first three new items hit the shelves in September, then the top flagship will be released only in October.

This two-phase rollout is not new to Apple, as the launch of the iPhone XR was similarly delayed in 2018, and the iPhone X was also delayed in 2017.

In addition, Jeff Poo noted that the new Phone SE should be released in mid-April, that is, this week. This smartphone will be an updated version of the iPhone 8 with a 4.7-inch display, a Home button with a fingerprint reader, an A13 chip and 3GB of RAM. The estimated price tag of the most affordable version is $ 399 (≈29,500 rubles).
