YouTuber PhoneBuff conducted another comparison of popular gadgets. This time, he decided to find out how well top smartphones from Apple and Samsung hold a charge.
While the Galaxy has a larger battery, it also has a larger display (6.9 inches versus 6.5 inches for the iPhone) and higher refresh rates (120Hz and 60Hz, respectively). During the test, youtuber decided to turn on S20 Ultra 120Hz mode, as this is one of the most striking features of this smartphone. He promised in the future to carry out a comparison with 60 Hz, but this video is a test of the capabilities of both models without restrictions.
During the experiment, the brightness of both smartphones was calibrated to the same value, after which they performed the same actions, simulating everyday use: an hour of phone calls, correspondence in a standard messenger, "reading" letters in Gmail, web surfing through a browser, on Instagram and other popular applications. Also part of the test was 16 hours of standby time.
As a result, the Galaxy S20 Ultra gave up and ran out when the iPhone still had 17% charge left. In total, the Samsung flagship lasted 9 hours and 35 minutes with the screen turned on - quite impressive, but does not go to comparison with the iPhone, which showed the best result for the entire time of such tests PhoneBuff - 11 hours 5 minutes.
