As part of a special online presentation, Huawei unveiled the flagship smartphones P40, P40 Pro and P40 Pro +. All three received a proprietary 8-core Kirin 990 processor, but the rest of the models are very different.
Huawei P40 Pro
This is the main novelty, which has received a curved AMOLED display with a diagonal of 6.58 ″, a resolution of 2640 × 1200 pixels. The screen frames are minimal, but in the right corner there is a rather noticeable island with a 32 megapixel selfie camera, supplemented by depth sensors.
The main feature of the P-series has always been its photo capabilities, and the P40 Pro is no exception. It received the latest 50MP RYYB sensor, a 40MP wide-angle module, a 12MP telephoto lens with support for 5x optical zoom and a ToF sensor for measuring depth of field. All this is complemented by a dual LED flash and optical stabilization.
The battery of the smartphone is 4 200 mAh. There is support for 40W fast wired charging and also 27W wireless. The Huawei P40 Pro case is IP68 waterproof.
Huawei P40 Pro +
The P40 Pro + is a premium device that features 512GB of internal storage, 40W wireless charging and an optional camera. The latter is a telephoto lens for 10x optical zoom and 100x digital. Otherwise, this model is identical to the Huawei P40 Pro.
Huawei P40
This smartphone looks like the Pro version in appearance, its screen is flat - no bends, which many will obviously like. At the same time, the characteristics of the display are also slightly more modest: 6.1 inches, AMOLED-matrix, resolution of 2340 × 1080 pixels, refresh rate 60 Hz. The hole for the selfie camera is in the same place.
The main camera is represented by three modules instead of four: the main one is 50 megapixels, the wide-angle one is 16 megapixels and the telephoto camera is 8 megapixels for 3x optical zoom. Optical stabilization is also present. The autonomy of the Huawei P40 is answered by a 3,800 mAh battery with a 22.5 W charging capacity.
And another important difference from the Pro version is the lack of full moisture protection, here only IP53, which guarantees splash resistance, but no more.
All smartphones run on Android 10 with the proprietary EMUI shell, but without Google services. The prices of new products are as follows:
- Huawei P40 (8/128 GB): 799 euros (≈67,300 rubles);
- Huawei P40 Pro (8/256 GB): 999 euros (≈84 100 rubles);
- Huawei P40 Pro + (8/512 GB): 1,399 euros (≈117,800 rubles);
The material is being supplemented.
