In Google Translate for Android appeared a new Transcribe feature that allows you to record your speech and instantly translate it into other languages with virtually no delay. It was first introduced in January this year under the title Continuous Translation.
There was already a similar function in Translator, but it did not work in real time. The user had to first type the desired text or dictate. This option was not suitable for listening to lectures and conferences, when it is important to receive the translation immediately.
Transcribe supports the following languages: English, French, German, Hindi, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Thai. In the settings, if necessary, you can adjust the display of the text by selecting and the desired size of letters for ease of reading.
Transcribe is added remotely on the server side, so it will appear on smartphones in stages. Look for it in the coming weeks.
