According to the recent iOS 14 code leak, the new firmware version for iPhone users will see a new list view of the desktop. A similar mode is already used in Apple Watch, but in watches it is extremely limited in capabilities. how reports the 9to5Mac edition that was able to retrieve the code and analyze it, the iOS version will be much more advanced.
In iOS 13 and earlier, users only have two ways to browse apps: through the desktop or the search bar. They are useful, but they don't allow you to see the whole picture. In the new list mode, you can view all installed programs at once and sort them - for example, arrange by date of last use, or display only programs that have not been watched notifications.
In this case, the list will display not only the names of the programs, but also their icons, so that you can navigate more conveniently. Also, this list will use Siri recommendations - the smartphone itself will prompt you to turn on the navigator, if at this time you usually get into the car, or the Apple Music app will move up if the geolocation shows that you have arrived at gym. A similar feature has already been implemented on the iOS search screen.
The new mode will complement the standard desktop as a new page, rather than completely replace it. Many expected features like a macOS / iPadOS dock or the ability to place apps anywhere on the screen in this build not found - but it is important to remember that this is a very early version of the firmware, which will receive many more changes before the final release.
Earlier, in the same code leak, many details were found about upcoming releases Apple - including about Apple Watch 6 and watchOS 7.
