Into the WhatsApp app for iOS and Android finally added dark theme support. She not only looks beautiful, but also saves charge on devices with OLED screens.

To activate it, in iOS 13 or Android 10, you just need to enable the system dark theme. In iOS, to do this, open the smartphone settings, go to the "Screen and brightness" section and select a dark design. Alternatively, you can open Control Center (swipe from bottom to top) and hold the brightness control panel. Then you need to press the "Dark" button to switch the mode.

Unfortunately, you cannot activate the dark theme regardless of the system settings - at least if you have iOS 13 or Android 10. In Android 9 and below, the function can be enabled separately - for this, in the application settings, go to "Chats" → "Theme". Don't forget to update your app for this option to appear.
