A new video was released on the YouTube channel Tech / NickBrazer, in which the Apple flagship was compared to the top smartphone Xiaomi, which is often called the "Chinese Apple". But maybe it's time to call Apple "American Xiaomi"?
A more budget version fell into the hands of the author Mi 10 Pro with 8GB of RAM - which is still twice as much as an iPhone with its 4GB. Also, the new Xiaomi runs on the top-end Snapdragon 865 processor, while in iPhone 11 Pro Max used A13 Bionic - the most powerful Apple chip.
On both smartphones, intermediate animations were minimized to make the test more fair. The test itself consisted of four stages. First, they checked the turn-on time and the speed of user identification: and if the iPhone turned on for almost 10 seconds longer, then Face ID worked faster than the fingerprint scanner in the Mi 10 Pro in one test from three.
Then we launched 20 identical applications on the phone and performed simple actions in them. And here smartphones were almost on a par: the lack of RAM did not affect the iPhone 11 Pro, which proved to be amazing in video rendering. It took him only 13 seconds to export a 4K video - whereas the Mi 10 Pro took 1:21 for a similar task. The final score was 15:12 in favor of Xiaomi.
Finally, at the last stage, all 20 applications were reopened - to check how much the device can hold in memory. iPhone 11 Pro Max already failed in a similar test when it compared with Galaxy S20 Ultra. But compared to Xiaomi, the iPhone was actually not so bad: it lost with a fairly close score of 5: 6 - which is impressive given the difference in performance.
