LG unveils V60 ThinQ 5G - a rugged flagship with two screens

LG has officially announced a new smartphone in the flagship V-series. The V60 ThinQ 5G is the first smartphone manufacturer to receive the top-end Snapdragon 865 processor and a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with FHD + resolution. The impressive 5,000 mAh battery is especially important here, given the plug-in second display without its own battery.

Inside - 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage (there is a micro SD slot). As always, LG has focused on the camera - the brand has been aiming to offer more manual settings lately than other manufacturers. The 64-megapixel main module is adapted for shooting in low-light conditions: a bunch of pixels are used to combat noise, while the image size is reduced to 16 megapixels. The main sensor was supplemented with an ultra-wide 13 megapixel sensor and a ToF sensor.

The smartphone has received protection against dust, water and external damage according to IP68 and MIL-STD 810G standards.

Simultaneously with the smartphone, an adapted Dual Screen was presented - this is an additional display that connects via USB-C and synchronizes with the main one for simultaneous operation. It received a 6.8-inch FHD + AMOLED panel, just like the main screen. Visually, it looks more like a book case.

Until Microsoft releases Surface Duo this spring, the V60 ThinQ 5G will remain one of the few dual-screen models. Yes, foldable smartphones look more futuristic, but they are more fragile. In addition, the removable design allows you to remove the second display and increase autonomy when you do not need to work with text or use several applications at the same time.

The V60 ThinQ 5G will go on sale in March. The price of the new item is still unknown, but released six months ago LG G8X ThinQwhich comes immediately with Dual Screen in the set and also had top-end features, costs a modest $ 699 (about 45,800 rubles).
