At a special online presentation, Honor showed new items that were supposed to debut at canceled MWC 2020. Among them - the fresh version of the MagicBook laptops for 14 and 15 inches. The models are completely identical in stuffing and differ only in dimensions and screen sizes.
The MagicBook 14 is 15.9mm thin and weighs just 1.38kg. At the same time, the laptop is really compact due to the minimal frames around the display: 4.8 mm each on three sides. The display itself has a Full HD resolution.
Inside is an AMD Ryzen 5 3500U processor, a Radeon Vega 8 graphics card, 8GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 256GB SSD. The 1 megapixel webcam hides in the keyboard, just like the MateBook X. A fingerprint scanner is integrated into the power button.
New items received fast charging via USB-C. The 56Wh battery in the MagicBook 14 charges up to 46% in 30 minutes using the 65W adapter (included). A full charge provides 12 hours of battery life in video playback mode. The battery of the older model has the same capacity, but charges up to 53% in half an hour.
MagicBook 14 is available now to order in Russia for 42,990 rubles and get a laptop backpack and a Huawei wireless mouse as a gift. It works out of the box on Windows 10 Home. The cost and release date of the 15-inch model have not yet been announced.
