How to clear email of all spam with Unroll
News Web Services / / January 02, 2021
No matter how hard you try, the mailbox gets cluttered over time, and at some point it is no longer possible to manually deal with hundreds of letters a day. In this case, you can turn to the automatic unsubscribe services. One of the most popular free solutions is Unroll.me.
It allows you to quickly deal with advertising subscriptions and clear your mailbox of all unnecessary things. This is handy because not all marketing emails offer an "Unsubscribe from news" button - and you definitely won't miss anything.
It is enough to log in through your mail, synchronize data - and the service will collect a list of everything that you are subscribed to, and it doesn't matter if it was yesterday or a couple of years ago for a discount on your first order. There are 3 options for each source:
- Add to Rollup - adding to favorites. News from these subscriptions can be viewed in the corresponding section of the Unroll website.
- Keep inbox - do nothing, the letters will continue to arrive as before.
- Unsubscribe - unsubscribe from news.
It is important to note that after unsubscribing, old letters will have to be deleted or sent to spam manually. The easiest way is to use the method Inbox Zero.
How to restrict data transfer
By default, the service collects your purchase data in order to use it for targeted advertising - about this is reported on the home page of the site, and this is what explains why such a convenient service is available is free. But you don't have to share your data with the developers. First, click on your address at the top right of the page and select the Manage My Data option.
Scroll down the page and you will see two items: Manage Data Permissions (permission to collect data) and Ad Tracking (targeted advertising). You need to click the Opt Out buttons at both points. A window will appear warning that the data is being used exclusively for advertising purposes - click Opt Out again so that Unroll can no longer receive your data.
After that, you can continue to use the service as usual.
