Xiaomi introduced a case for disinfecting smartphones

Xiaomi, together with EUE accessory manufacturer, presented a new cover for UV sterilization of equipment. Outwardly, it looks more like a case for glasses and kills about 99.9% of bacteria in less than a minute.

In addition to smartphones, the gadget is suitable for disinfecting headphones, smart watches and other small appliances, and also for watches, jewelery, eyeglasses, makeup brushes and more - as long as the case can close. The latter is really important as the case blocks the UV rays inside the device. The battery with a capacity of 560 mAh is enough for 70 processing calls, it takes 3 hours to charge from 0 to 100% via micro USB.

To start, just press the button on the lid. The manufacturer claims that such a device is more effective than antibacterial wipes, as it is able to clean even hard-to-reach places - including smartphone connectors and small parts decorations.

The device was priced at 199 yuan (≈1,810 rubles) and will go on sale on March 30.

Now there are several similar devices on AliExpress: for example, this device from the Xiaomi sub-brand will not only disinfect the smartphone, but also charge it wirelessly (power up to 10 W). At the same time, it costs about 1,500 rubles - but, unlike the new model, the gadget itself requires a network connection.
