About interface, applications, security and more.
As part of Microsoft 365 Developer Day, the company's developers told about the new Windows 10X operating system, which was first demonstrated on a foldable tablet Surface neo. Here's a quick demo of the OS from The Verge editor Tom Warren.

Microsoft itself has highlighted 5 key changes to Windows 10X. About them below.
Fast Updates
Unlike the regular version of Windows 10, the new system will receive updates much faster, and they will be installed in the background. The whole process will not take more than 90 seconds. The user will only need to reboot the device to complete the installation.
Safety
Windows 10X is completely shielded from potentially dangerous software by default, since apps don't have the usual access to the registry. You can get it only through special APIs.
Performance
Microsoft claims that Windows 10X will deliver consistent performance over the long term. Even after several months of use, the device will work as quickly as when it was first started.
Applications
Windows 10X can run all the apps you need, including UWP, Win32, and PWA. At the same time, you can install programs from anywhere, not just from the Microsoft Store. They all run in a container, which guarantees reliable data isolation. This applies to both 32-bit and 64-bit programs.
Interface
Windows 10X comes with a simplified shell. The familiar windowing, drag-and-drop and clipboard will work as expected. But applets in the system tray, explorer add-ons and some other functions of the desktop version are not provided in the new OS.
Members of the WIndows Insider program can already get to know Windows 10X better using a special emulator and OS image, which can be downloaded from the official site Microsoft.
