It doesn't take much money to be among the 10% richest people in the world. About it writes CNBC citing new Global Wealth Report from Credit Suisse Research Institute.

According to the research, the entry threshold of 10% is now at the level of 93,170 US dollars (≈5.89 million rubles). And we are talking not only about financial assets, but also about the value of real assets, the main of which is housing. In other words, if the sum of your savings and the market value of an apartment after deducting debts exceeds the indicated figure, then you are among the 10% of the richest people on Earth.

To get into 50%, you need much less - $ 4,210 (≈266 thous. rubles). It turns out that if the sum of your assets is greater, then you are richer than half of the world's population. To enter 1%, you need to have capital in the amount of $ 871,320 (≈55 million rubles).

Credit Suisse notes that today 10% of the people in the world own 85% of the world's wealth. Moreover, almost half of this wealth, 47%, is in the hands of 1% of people. Despite such a huge spread, there are signs that inequality in wealth is no longer growing, the report said.
