List of free internet services in Russia

The Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications compiled a preliminary list of web services, access to which should be provided to Russians even with a zero account balance. This list turned out to be at the disposal Izvestia.

All services are divided into four categories:

• state information resources: a portal of state services, websites of ministries and departments, websites of regional and local authorities;
• social networks: VKontakte, Odnoklassniki, My World, In the Circle of Friends, Small World, Photostrana, Diary;
• post services: Yandex, mail.ru, km.ru;
• other significant information resources: Bip messenger of the Turkish mobile operator Turkcell.

The list is not final yet. In the future, it can either increase or decrease.

This initiative is being developed within the framework of the "Accessible Internet" project, which is designed to provide widespread access to socially significant domestic services. Some of them will be available to users free of charge from March 1.

reportedthat the list of socially significant Internet resources to which free access will be provided does not yet exist. It is still in development.

Now officials are only collecting data from telecom operators about the traffic of various resources and what losses a business can incur if this traffic becomes free.
