The release of the next generation of PlayStation is getting closer, and more and more rumors appear on the Internet. We recently saw the alleged design of the console, now the eminent developer told when the presentation will take place.
David Yaffe, creator of God of War and Twisted Metal (in other words, a person who can clearly be privy to the plans Sony) wrote in two tweets that “less than a month” remains before the PS5 announcement and that it will take place “in February, as was the case with PS4 ". Given that the posts were published on January 16, the presentation should take place no later than February 15.
PS5 reveal is less than 4 weeks away. Sony knows hard core gamers are hanging on every scrap of info and know that just cause MSFT dominates the conversation at the moment, that’s an easy thing to change when they are ready to reveal (assuming the reveal is good).

I want to say it’s the worst kept secret in games right now. February reveal like they did for PS4.

In addition, a massive 4chan leak revealed which games will be available when the console launches. We are talking about Gran Turismo 7, MLB The Show 21, Demon's Souls Remastered, Godfall and a new game from SIE Santa Monica called Legendz. Of the five, Godfall is the only officially announced game.
However, the list as a whole looks quite realistic. Numbered Gran Turismo has not been released in 6 years, MLB The Show is as imminent a release as another FIFA, and fans of the Dark Souls series showered developers with requests to re-release Demon's Souls for years.
Kotaku editor Jason Schreier spoke in a recent episode podcast Splitscreen that the first PS5 games will be exclusives. In other words, unlike Xbox series xif you want to play new games, you have to update your hardware anyway.
Finally, the 4chan leak also mentions that Sony will talk about upcoming projects at its February launch event - including a new Horizon Zero game. Dawn, sequel to Marvel's Spider-Man, a new part of Crash Bandicoot, a sci-fi release from Naughty Dog, Final Fantasy XVI, a new Resident Evil and not only. It's hard to believe that there will be so many announcements at one event - but don't forget that Sony is skipping E3 this year.
